Founded in 2001, the company recruited a team of technologists with hands-on experience providing a full spectrum of services from architecture, development, quality assurance, integration, deployment, to production support.
Founder - Leo Cheung
As the principal consultant at Genuine, Leo manages a consulting network of engineering professionals specialized in e-Services/e-Commerce, secure messaging, XML Web services, database architecture, and 24x7 data center infrastructure. Over his 20 years of career endeavor, Leo has played vital roles in companies ranging from startups to nationwide enterprises.
Prior to founding Genuine, Leo Cheung was the CTO and co-founder of a health & fitness company, Asimba, where he built a sports & fitness portal and a cobrandable e-Services framework. The company was later acquired by Weider Publications in which he helped transition the intellectual properties and engineering resources. Before Asimba, Leo was the Systems Architect at an online targeted coupon service, planet U, where he spearheaded the design and scaling of its database-centric application server platform to enable high-volume targeted coupon transactions. During the early and mid 90's, he was the Director of Engineering with The DBM Group, the database marketing arm of Bozell Worldwide. Leo graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University and holds a Master's degree in Mathematics from Virginia Tech.
